Newcastle design firm grows global reach with proptech platform launch
A North East-based design and technology specialist is set to expand its global footprint with the launch of a new proptech platform.
Space Group, which is based in Newcastle, has announced the launch of digital platform Twinview, in a bid to enhance building management and performance.
Powered by cloud-based, 3D digital twins – digital replicas of physical buildings - the platform aims to connect the virtual and the physical buildings with real-time analytical data
Space Group CEO, Rob Charlton, explained: “The original concept for Twinview was very much developed in response to discussions we were having with clients and the challenges they were facing.
“While there are existing solutions that deliver elements of what Twinview offers, very few do everything that we are doing in one environment. Twinview also removes the need for specialist and expensive hardware, software and training.
“Not only can users view models online using just a web browser, they’ll also be able to update their models and view and access live data right down to individual asset level in milliseconds.”
Following its launch Twinview is already in discussion with international firms, with plans to more than double its workforce over the next two years in Newcastle as well as locations in London, Europe and North America.
Rob continued: “The North East is a real hotspot for digital construction excellence and pioneering products and services that are helping shape the sector in the UK and beyond.
“Twinview is another example of the industry-leading innovation that has become synonymous with our region.”
