Personio hires Dropbox’s Geraldine MacCarthy as Chief Revenue Officer and opens Dublin office

The provider of an all-in-one HR software Personio has appointed Geraldine MacCarthy as Chief Revenue Officer. The former Head of Dropbox Business EMEA is tasked with driving Personio’s European expansion and further scaling its business in DACH.

Starting her new role on 1st April 2020, MacCarthy will be responsible for all of Personio’s marketing and sales activities. Personio currently serves customers in over 40 countries and has set itself the goal of becoming the leading HR platform for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Europe.

MacCarthy brings almost twenty years of sales and technology experience in executive roles at category leading companies like Dropbox and Google. As Head of Dropbox Business EMEA she was instrumental in building up the European business. Prior to that, she spent over seven years at Google in multiple leadership positions, supporting their European expansion and establishing several new offices.

In addition, Personio is announcing the launch of its Dublin office, where MacCarthy will be based. The new location was chosen as a well-established international talent hub that has helped many successful tech companies better serve the European market. With the opening of the new office, Personio is now represented in a total of four locations throughout Europe: Munich, London, Madrid and Dublin.
