Doncaster property business unveils new emergency healthcare centre

A property investment firm in South Yorkshire has delivered a new temporary clinic to support the NHS during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Vigo Group opened a fully refurbished health centre at its site Cavendish Court this week to accommodate patients amid the coronavirus outbreak.

The Phoenix Clinic has seen the property firm work closely with the NHS as well as other local businesses to convert the commercial space into a healthcare facility in the space of two days.

The space has been transformed into a self-contained 5 room healthcare unit, along with changing and rest facilities.

Tariq Shah, Vigo Group director, commented: “We would like to thank existing occupiers of The Wellness Centre at Cavendish Court for helping us deliver this vital Clinic for the people of Doncaster. Our tenants have given up their space voluntarily to make this project happen.

“Our in-house construction team, as well as Cavendish Court occupier, Vizuality, and local builders’ merchant, AE Spinks, deserve special mentions for their extraordinary work to bring this important project together. We are all extremely proud to be a part of this initiative.”

Dr David Crichton, chair of NHS Doncaster Clinical Commissioning Group, added: “We have been very pleased with the speed with which Vigo Group has responded to our call to create a temporary facility to provide support to Doncaster patients during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We are grateful to both Vigo and the previous tenants, for working together to ensure the facility is made available and operational as quickly as possible.”
