Expansion into new sectors for Yorkshire logistics firm amid COVID-19 disruption
Leeds logistics specialise Clipper Logistics has increased its scope across a range of industries as a result of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
In a statement this morning, the firm confirmed it has expanded into services for the educational equipment and health foods sectors as well as existing retail clients.
In addition, the company has provided 500,000 square feet of warehousing space to support eight separate customers’ additional requirements during the coronavirus outbreak and subsequent lockdown.
The firm has also mobilised its team to provide new services, including providing inbound processing and storage relief, undertaking warehousing and picking for 70 regional stores of a national grocery retailer.
The news follows Clipper Logistics being announced as the chosen partner for a new supply chain to deliver PPE to NHS trusts across the UK.
Steve Parkin, executive chairman, commented: “I would like to thank all members of the Clipper team for their continued innovation, dedication and hard work to enable us to rapidly deploy solutions and fulfil gaps in the supply chain for both new and existing customers in a quickly changing environment.”
