Yorkshire warehousing firm set for regional expansion with acquisition drive
A Yorkshire-based warehousing specialist has announced plans to expand its reach across the region.
Pontefract business Onward Holdings Ltd has confirmed it is seeking out new locations across West Yorkshire as part of its ongoing growth strategy.
The fourth-generation family-run company is looking to purchase available land suitable for development, or existing sites that are in need of redevelopment, which could potentially be utilised to build up the stock of warehouse and industrial units.
The firm already has existing sites the likes of Castleford, Doncaster, Ackworth, Scunthorpe and Featherstone, as well as retail and hospitality destination Onyx Retail Park on the former Manvers colliery in South Yorkshire.
Neil Storey, director of Onward Holdings, commented: “We are on the hunt for more commercial sites in West Yorkshire that would benefit from development or redevelopment to accommodate the growing demand for storage, distribution and fulfilment hubs.
“We have been successful in securing some prime locations in Yorkshire for logistics facilities, but more land near to the motorway junctions needs to be allocated.”
