Proptech to grow team with £1.1m funding from sustainability impact investor
A property performance management specialist has secured £1.1m investment to support its continued growth.
Shepherd has secured additional funding from sustainable projects investor Earthworm to further develop its data analytics and remote monitoring solutions for commercial property owners.
The firm uses real-time remote monitoring to enable organisations to review their commercial property energy consumption and reduce their carbon footprint and operating costs.
This latest funding follows an initial £2m investment from Earthworm in March 2019, and will enable Shepherd to continue broadening its data analytical team and develop additional analytical tools for property performance
Stephen Chadwick, Shepherd’s CEO, commented: “We are delighted to continue our relationship with Earthworm, constant advocates of our vision here at Shepherd.
“They recognise our unique capabilities to serve the market opportunity to transform how properties are monitored and managed.
Kerry Hughes, Earthworm’s head of portfolio and Investment, said: “Since our first investment in Shepherd we have been extremely impressed with their progress, and we are very pleased to continue supporting them.
“Each of the investments in our portfolio is striving to have a positive impact on the planet and Shepherd is a perfect fit – their technology will improve the sustainability of property management.”
