Leonard Curtis Business Rescue & Recovery Limited appointed provisional liquidators of Doorset Technology Limited

Stuart Robb and Michelle Elliot - of Leonard Curtis Business Rescue & Recovery - were appointed Joint Provisional Liquidators of Doorset Technology Limited (“the Company”) on 14 May 2020.

Established in 2010, the Company trades as a manufacturer, distributor and project manager for doors, doorsets and related component products, operating from its main manufacturing facility in Wishaw, Lanarkshire.

The Company had been experiencing financial difficulties in recent months, resulting in increased cash flow and creditor pressure. As a result of these issues, and in light of the uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, the Company ceased trading on 11 May 2020. Having further reviewed the Company’s options, the directors have taken the extremely difficult decision to appoint Provisional Liquidators to the Company.

Regrettably, it was not possible for the Company to continue to trade in the circumstances and, as a result, all 39 employees of the Company have been made redundant with immediate effect.

Joint Provisional Liquidator, Stuart Robb commented: “Despite their best efforts, and the government support currently available for businesses, the Company’s directors did not deem it possible to continue to trade the business due to a variety of factors.

“Unfortunately, this has resulted in the workforce being made redundant. Our focus is now to ensure that those employees affected by redundancy receive the full range of support possible from the various government agencies.

“The Joint Provisional Liquidators are exploring whether a sale of some of the business and assets can be secured and we would urge any party who is interested in the Company’s business and assets, including its plant and equipment, stock, and intellectual property, to contact my colleague James Dempster at Leonard Curtis as soon as possible.
