Biofuel supplier secures six-figure HSBC funding to support NHS
A South Yorkshire biofuel supplier has secured six-figure funding to provide fuel to an NHS hospital during the COVID-19 pandemic.
BioFuels & Oils, which is based in Barnsley, secured funding from HSBC UK to provide biofuel to an NHS hospital in England that recently increased its patient capacity.
The funding will support the company in paying all its staff involved in the production and delivery of fuel to the hospital, which has increased its capacity by 80 extra beds.
Colin Campbell, managing director of BioFuels & Oils, commented: “HSBC UK worked quickly to ensure additional funding was put in place, so we can continue to supply fuel to the NHS hospitals throughout the Coronavirus crisis.
“We are now in a position to be able to pay our dedicated staff and ensure that the hospital can focus on helping patients.”
Vivek Joshi, relationship manager for HSBC UK, added: “The dedication of the NHS staff throughout this difficult period has been phenomenal, so when the opportunity came to show a sign of support to a company directly supporting the NHS, we were happy to help.
“BioFuels & Oils provide an essential product to hospitals around the UK and we hope that it will continue to do so for many more years.”
