Northern planning specialist secures place on £750m housing framework

A planning consultancy with offices across the North of England has secured a place on a new multi-million pound housing framework scheme.

DPP Planning is now part of the £750m Innovation Chain North framework, led by Great Places Housing Group.

The firm, which has offices in Newcastle and Leeds as well as Manchester, will work with the housing group to deliver mixed use housing and associated social infrastructure cross the North.

Mark Lane, director and head of residential at DPP, commented: “We are very proud to be part of this high-profile framework, which will have a significant role to play in delivering the volume of high quality housing required across the North of England.

“Housing associations across the northern regions have bold plans to create the necessary housing stock and we are keen to bring our experience and expertise in residential property planning to help them realise their ambitions.”

Helen Spencer, Great Places’ director of development, added: “We are delighted to be working with DPP on our new ICN framework. We are confident they will be able to work with us and the clients of ICN in delivering the sector’s extensive development ambitions in the North.

“We were delighted to have a huge response from the market and receive high quality proposals and substantial social value pledges for our communities.

“We are now looking forward to mobilising the framework and working together on new projects with DPP supporting us with its services.”
