Ovenu Bolton achieves 1,000th maximum-rated customer review just days after reopening following lockdown

The owner of oven valeting company Ovenu Bolton is celebrating his 1,000th five-star customer review just days after reopening his business.

Jonathan Fry and subcontractor Steven Torrance have been delighted at the number of enquiries and bookings received since returning to work last month following an easing of the government’s lockdown restrictions.

They were further heartened when, within a week, the pair received the milestone rating on respected online review platform TRUSTist - with every one of the 1,000 customers leaving a review giving the service the highest possible score.

Jonathan said the achievement gives real encouragement for the future following what has been a difficult time. When lockdown was imposed in March, the business had to close, resulting in the cancellation of more than 50 bookings.

He said: “Fortunately, since we reopened many people have been back in touch to rearrange those cancelled bookings and we have also won some new customers.

“I’ve been running this business since 2002 and both I and Steven are proud to deliver an exceptional standard of customer service and it’s great to see this has been recognised – both in our customer reviews and the number of enquiries we’ve received in recent weeks.

“To receive our 1,000th top-rated review has given us both a real lift and I hope it bodes well for the future as we continue to work safely and responsibly to get the business back on track and deliver an in-demand service.”

He decided to reopen Ovenu Bolton, once the government published its revised guidance on working inside people’s homes. Jonathan is accepting bookings at his discretion, with the strict stipulation that both parties observe the two-metre social distancing rule, along with adhering to guidelines on hygiene and cleanliness. Payment can be accepted electronically, and it is possible to complete the whole valeting process with minimal or zero customer contact.

“It feels great to get back to work but my priority is to ensure our customers remain safe,” he added.
