Northumberland retail development on track for 2020 opening
A new retail and leisure development in Northumberland is on track for completion later this year.
Prudhoe Estates, a joint partnership between Advance Northumberland and Northumberland Estates, has confirmed that work is “progressing well” on the Tyneside View Retail Park scheme to the North of Prudhoe town centre.
Situated along A695 Princess Way, the mixed-use retail park is expected to boost the local economy and encourage investment in the area by national retailers.
Totalling 75,329 sq ft, the site has already secured commitment from supermarket chain Aldi with a 19,000 sq ft anchor food store, B&M with a 22,000 sq ft store and separate garden centre, and restaurant Cafe Ginevra.
The scheme is also set to have a drive-thru restaurant, with more brands to be announced in the coming months.
Construction of the development is being carried out by Robertson Group, with completion expected by the end of 2020.
