Industrial scheme launches near Robin Hood Doncaster Sheffield Airport
A new speculative industrial scheme close to Robin Hood Doncaster Sheffield Airport has been launched.
Work is currently under way on the Kestrel Court development, the first phase of which will feature three detached industrial and warehouse units of 13,500 to 18,000 sq ft available to let and for sale.
Construction company Marshall CDP is aiming to have the scheme on First Avenue completed by the end of the year and has worked closely with Business Doncaster to bring the development forward, with the site being marketed by the Sheffield office of Knight Frank.
Chris Marshall from Marshall CDP commented: “Our decision to develop Kestrel Court is based on this area now being recognised as a first-class location for business.
“Occupiers can take advantage of prime accommodation, transport links, the growing airport’s freight commerce operation and an available workforce.
“We are very grateful for the support we have received from Doncaster Council’s Business Doncaster, which has enabled us to start on site at Kestrel Court.”
Bill Mordue, cabinet member for business and economic development at Doncaster Council, added: “Doncaster benefits from competitive operating costs and is the perfect location for the movement of goods throughout the UK and beyond whether it’s by road, rail, air or sea. We are the right location for companies looking for somewhere to locate their business.
“Occupiers at business parks in the region can take advantage of millions of customers right on their doorstep, 75 per cent of the population reachable within a 4/5 hour drive time, the right supply chain skills, low operating costs and a readily available workforce.”
