Overseas trade boost for Sheffield SMEs with Chamber’s London FX firm partnership

Sheffield Chamber of Commerce has announced a new partnership with a London foreign exchange (FX) specialist to boost its international trade offering.

Sheffield Chamber has joined forces with moneycorp in order to support local businesses with their international trading and overseas expansion.

It is hoped that the new partnership with the London-based firm, which will enable Sheffield Chamber members to access a range of FX services, will support the international expansion ambitions of local SMEs.

Nick Patrick, head of international trade at Sheffield Chamber, commented: “As global currencies rise and fall, more so with the current turmoil in the international markets, it is extremely important to Sheffield Chamber that we offer a dedicated service which provides a sound base in this most crucial of international trade dealings.

“Sheffield Chamber are delighted to partner with moneycorp, who have been a key partner of the British Chambers of Commerce for a number of years, providing a valuable service for foreign exchange transactions.

“This new partnership and service strengthens our international trade offering. It will provide help and guidance based on comprehensive market knowledge and experience, as well as aid in reducing costs and importantly risk for our members.”

Lee McDarby, managing director of international payments at moneycorp, added: “We are excited to be partnering with the Sheffield Chamber of Commerce.

“Market knowledge and putting clients first is at the heart of what we do at moneycorp, and while for many businesses these tough conditions may be the biggest challenge they’ll have faced, we are here to help them navigate the choppy waters.”
