Yorkshire vehicle auction facility set to create 30 new jobs

A new purpose-built vehicle auction facility in Yorkshire is set to create 30 jobs for the region.

G3 Vehicle Auctions is investing in a new specialist facility on a 14-acre site off Junction 32 of the M62 after outgrowing its existing 4-acre auction site.

Construction on the facility began in March, with completion and public launch scheduled for January 2021. The business plans to relocate all staff to new office workspace within the new auction facility as well as create up to 30 new roles.

The new facility will have the capacity to annually remarket 50,000 vehicles when fully operational, more than doubling the company’s current capacity.

Joint managing director Matt Dale explained: “It’s exciting to be able to announce this ‘good news story’ to the industry.

“Whilst there has been a seismic shift to online-only auctions in reaction to the events of this year, we truly believe that a mix of digital and physical solutions will be essential to supporting the automotive trade long into the future.
