York footwear retailer steps up game with expanded Bradford store
A York-headquartered footwear retailer has trebled its store space with the expansion of an West Yorkshire concession.
Footwear specialist Pavers has expanded its store in Tong Garden Centre in Bradford upon reopening after the disruption of COVID-19.
The firm, which first opened the Tong Garden Centre store in 2015, has trebled the size of the space as it welcomes back shoppers following its temporary closure during lockdown.
Pavers’ manager, Jo Manghan, commented: “We’re thrilled to have pretty much quadrupled our range of shoes as we know choice was always limited for our customers. We’re delighted to be introducing our trainers’ range too with styles from leading brand Skechers as well as our own extensive collection, Pavers Active.
“In our new Tong Garden Centre shop, you will find all-new, just landed styles that combine innovative comfort technologies and endless style inspiration, made for every season and every occasion.”
Pavers also operates the Pavers Foundation, a charity launched in 2018 to enable the business and its 1700 employees to give back to their communities.
Tong’s commercial director, Sharon McNair, added: “Pavers is a great fit with Tong as both businesses share a Yorkshire homegrown heritage and have family values at the core of everything that we do.
Sharon continued: “We wish them every success with their commanding new shop.”
