Residential scheme completes at site of former Christie’s art warehouse
A new residential development on the site of a former art warehouse of auction house Christie’s has been completed.
Developer Bellway London has completed work on The Residence scheme off Ponton Road in Nine Elms.
Comprising 324 one, two and three bedroom apartments, the development is part of a wider 514-home scheme including a joint venture between Bellway and partner developer L&Q.
All of the properties at The Residence have already been sold ahead of the development’s completion.
Sales director for Bellway London, Emma Hamlett, commented: “This is the first of our landmark developments in the Nine Elms regeneration zone and has been a great success story for Bellway London as well as contributing to the wider transformation of the area.
“The apartments that we have built at The Residence have been exceedingly popular with homebuyers and this can be seen by the speed at which they’ve sold out.
“The final apartments have now been handed over to our final purchasers at The Residence, where we have already seen community groups forming from our on-site amenities with the residents’ gym and media room available for communal use, supporting neighbours in meeting each other around the development.”
