158-year old comms specialist expands to new Leeds HQ amid growth drive
A 158-year old firm has moved to new Yorkshire headquarters as part of its ongoing expansion plans.
The newly-titled Bailie Group – which began as a single printing company in Belfast in 1862 - has announced a new acquisition hunt to accelerate its growth.
Formerly The Baird Group, the firm has rebranded to complement its ambitions to achieve a £20m turnover by 2021.
Group CEO, Fergus Bailie, commented: “We’ve always been driven by transformative change, which is why – 158 years after our business roots were laid – we’re trusted to deliver some of the most landmark communications projects in modern times.
“Our mission, as we continue to grow, is to create an entrepreneurial collective of collaborative specialists capable of completing briefs that change lives. We don’t want to control the organisations we acquire – we want to empower them to utilise the technology and expert knowledge we can offer as a group, for societal gain.
“We’re not just a faceless holding company, and the rebrand is just the start of us highlighting that. Creating a family culture that embraces everyone in the Group is a key pillar of our beliefs.”
