Stop the presses: Bdaily announces new editor as business moves forward
As the business community adapts and changes in the wake of lockdown, Bdaily has announced a change to its editorial team.
Bdaily is delighted to announce that Jane Imrie has been appointed as editor after more than a year on the team.
Jane joined Bdaily as a business correspondent in February 2019, with a background in content and marketing, as well as in banking.
Since then, she has reported on breaking national news as well as stories across London, the North East and Yorkshire, including Newcastle Startup Week, International Women’s Day and the impact of the pandemic across the country.
Jane commented: “ I’m delighted to be moving into the role of editor at Bdaily.
“Since joining the company last year, I have significantly developed my journalistic skills and integrated myself within the regional business landscape, so this promotion feels like the ideal next step in my career.
“I’m proud to have become a key part of such a welcoming, authentic and ambitious team and look forward to leading on editorial and continuing to deliver engaging business content.
“We have some really interesting projects in the pipeline and I can’t wait to embrace the exciting times ahead.”
Newly appointed business manager Andrew Carter added: “Jane’s continued progression at Bdaily is testament to her skills, hard work and rapidly growing reputation as a journalist.
“Her move into the role of editor seemed obvious. Her eye for a story and flair for competitive headline writing will serve her well as she leads the Bdaily editorial team into the next phase of their development.
“I’m pleased to have Jane heading up the editorial team as we move the business forward heading into 2021.”
