Leading Midlands law firm wins top honours at national awards ceremony
A leading Midlands law firm has won top honours for its rounded business approach at a major national awards ceremony.
Wright Hassall, which is based on Olympus Avenue in Leamington Spa, has been named as Solicitor Firm of the Year for the Midlands at The British Wills & Probate Awards.
The nationwide work and client care of the firm’s private client team, combined with dedication to staff development and contribution to the community, saw Wright Hassall pip dozens of other regional law firms to the award.
Tracy Ashby is the Head of Wright Hassall’s Private Client Team, which supports individuals with probate and estate administration, wills, tax and estate planning and care funding advice- as well as the creation and distribution of private and charitable trusts.
She said: “The need to have one’s personal affairs in order is arguably more important now than ever before because of Coronavirus.
“Our team has responded brilliantly to managing the rise in demand we are seeing from individuals wanting to safeguard their own wealth alongside having to make adjustments to the way we operate ourselves - so this award is well deserved.
“As a firm we are passionate about acting in our clients’ best interests, and we were initially faced with a challenge of handling a rise in requests to make wills without being able to conduct the usual requirement of fulfilling these face-to-face.
“However, we were able to resolve this by using video links, and where a physical visit was needed, we liaised with healthcare professionals to ensure this was carried out safely and within government guidelines.
“It’s important that support and togetherness is shown at this time of national need - and this award underlines Wright Hassall’s efforts in achieving exactly that.”
