Taylor&Emmet gives back to local communities

A trio of community groups from Rotherham and Sheffield is benefiting from the generosity of local solicitors, Taylor&Emmet LLP.

The firm is championing three good causes with very different purposes, to show its support for the neighbourhoods it serves.

Staff from all five Taylor&Emmet offices across South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire have collected food and sanitary products for Rotherham Food Bank. The initiative, led by head of family law, Michaela Heathcote, resulted in six large bags of groceries being donated over a two-week period.

In addition, the firm has renewed its sponsorship of Rotherham Hockey Club for a second year, to acknowledge the importance of grassroots sport and help it survive the ongoing impact of Covid restrictions. It has also sponsored one of Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity’s snowflakes, enabling the organisation to spread some Christmas cheer across the city.

Josh Proud, Taylor&Emmet’s marketing manager, said: “Charities and community groups are having a really tough year, given the limited opportunities to raise funds, yet their services have never been more vital. We wanted to recognise the important work these three diverse organisations do and enable them to continue to support the many people who rely upon them for their health and wellbeing.”
