London-based creative music agency joins scheme to transform the lives of young people in London’s Tower Hamlets

Specialist sonic branding agency DLMDD today announces its partnership with Rich Mix New Creatives, a programme funded by the Mayor’s Young Londoners Fund to support young people looking to break into the creative industries.

Whilst the creative sector has been one of the fastest growing industries in the UK (providing one in six jobs in London pre-pandemic), not everyone is able to access employment opportunities. Rich Mix New Creatives aims to transform the lives of young people aged 16-18 in Tower Hamlets who are not in employment, education or training (NEET), by providing professional development through the Grit programme and training opportunities with leading businesses.

As part of their support, DLMDD will be offering a unique platform for applicants to join their team this summer, to experience the fast-paced and creative environment of a music agency and to gain valuable insight into how leading international brands seek to compete in today’s world.

Sascha Darroch-Davies, co-founder of DLMDD, comments:

“The UK is known around the world for its vibrant creative industries. We know that within music there are many different routes to take for those looking to break into the sector, and yet not everyone is able to access these opportunities.

“Rich Mix New Creatives is a brilliant initiative to support young people who are interested in the arts and we are delighted to support them by providing work placement opportunities within our business. We hope that through this partnership we will be able to help remove some of the barriers that young people face while unleashing the next generation of creatives who will power the industry in years to come.”

Judith Kilvington, CEO of Rich Mix, comments:

“Rich Mix New Creatives is a programme all about creating pathways into the creative industries – a sector which we know still is not as representative as it should be. We are excited to partner up with DLMDD who, like us, are passionate about sharing their experience and knowledge with young people from Tower Hamlets, to support them in their journey towards a creative career.”

Rich Mix New Creatives is open to young people aged 16-18 in London’s Tower Hamlets who are not currently in education, employment of training.
