Kanye producer’s creative network of choice launches London office following six-figure crowdfund

A creative professional network used by Kanye West’s producer has launched a new London office alongside a new investment round.

Vampr has announced the launch of the new office as well as securing £570k in an oversubscribed crowdfunding campaign.

Founded in 2015 by songwriter Josh Simons alongside songwriter/guitarist and tech entrepreneur Baz Palmer, Vampr is a social-professional network specifically for creatives.

The firm, which also has offices in Nashville in the US, has launched its London office in a bid to expand into the European market.

This latest funding brings Vampr’s total investment to £1.9m, will be used to develop the platform’s desktop experience and new live streaming tools.

Vampr is already used by a range of industry figures to source new talent: from Kanye West’s Grammy-winning producer Anthony Kilhoffer to Rae Khalil from hit Netflix music competition show, Rhythm + Flow, hosted by Queen Latifah and Chance The Rapper.

Josh Simons, Vampr’s Co-Founder and CEO, said: “We are thrilled to have successfully closed another equity crowdfunding campaign.

“I want to thank each and every one of our 2,054 investors, many of them also Vampr users, my team for supporting Baz and I throughout the raise, and of course the entire Vampr community which continues to blossom as the platform improves.”
