Sheffield proptech startup aims for national growth after more than doubling workforce
A South Yorkshire proptech company has more than doubled its workforce over the past 12 months.
Sheffield-based Vouch has grown to a team of 24, up from 11 in March 2020, as a result of increased demand for its services.
Founded by husband and wife duo Simon and Jaime Tillyer three years ago, Vouch specialises in the digitisation of the referencing process for letting agents.
In addition, the startup offers rent protection insurance and a utility service that earns revenue for agents.
The firm hopes to become one of the UK’s biggest suppliers of digitised referencing services, while staying true to its Yorkshire roots.
Simon Tillyer commented: “We’ve poured our efforts into growing our team meaningfully this year, and I’m proud to retain the fact that we’re staffed entirely by people from Sheffield, where we were founded and remain headquartered today.
“Aside from setting us apart from others in the proptech industry, our strong roots serve as a perfect example of the innovation coming out of the North.
“No matter how large our headcount grows, I’m confident that we will always remain an incredibly human-centred company.”
