Zutec achieves BSI BIM Kitemark
Zutec Holding AB (publ) (“Zutec”), the construction software company, has announced it’s one of the first organisations to be awarded a new BSI Kitemark™ certification for Building Information Modelling (BIM) software. This Kitemark is a global benchmark in BIM compliance, and the company achieved the certification following extensive, independent assessments.
BIM is a digital process for creating and managing information on a construction project across its life cycle. Its benefits include increased productivity, better risk management and improved build quality. BIM adoption around the world is patchy but accelerating, with the UK and Scandinavia further along the curve than other regions.
The company had to prove that its software met high quality, data security and usability benchmarks, and that it supported its clients in achieving BIM standardisation, along with ISO 19650 compliance—an international standard for managing information throughout the whole construction journey of an asset using BIM. Beyond this, the business also had to prove its customer-centricity with independent evidence of client satisfaction.
Commenting on the certification, Gustave Geisendorf, CEO of Zutec, says, “Our clients’ security and satisfaction is of the utmost importance. The Kitemark for BIM software is a global symbol of quality and safety, and is testament to the more than two decades of work we have put into our platform and the value it brings to the construction industry. Zutec provides a high degree of flexibility to customers, and allows them to collaborate easily with one another, whether on site or remotely. This is truly a milestone for us and will open up new opportunities, from housing developments to large commercial properties, worldwide. BSI is synonymous with quality in the construction industry and we are pleased to be associated with BSI and this Kitemark.”
The advantages of achieving a BSI Kitemark include reducing companies’ operational risk, as well as improving their internal business confidence and reputation in the marketplace.
