Interior design specialist targets biggest year of revenues following pandemic

LOFT, one of the UK’s biggest interior design and furnishing suppliers, has completed a record 40 projects over the last year by harnessing strong demand in the rental market through its rental interior design offer.

As a result, LOFT is now targeting its highest annual revenues this year as demand for renting continues to remain high. It is focussing on offering a one-stop design and furnishing solution for the residential property market.

Over the last year, the business has successfully completed projects ranging from small refurbishment works up to completion of large scale Build To Rent portfolios for leading residential developers. Just one of the key large-scale projects is The Filaments – a Salford-based project with leading developer Grainger Plc.

Despite the volatility in the property sector caused by the pandemic, LOFT has maintained similar levels of revenue compared to the previous year which saw 30% growth and was its most successful year to date.

LOFT has also recently re-launched its website bringing all its services together to offer a people first design service to the property sector with a seamless end-to-end supply package from inception to completion and beyond.

Benjamin Hall, LOFT’s Founder & Managing Director, commented: “As the property sector continues to evolve and adapt to the changing needs of the end user, we wanted to create a platform that enables us to help our clients. The new website allows users to turn ideas and aspirations into lives and experiences ensuring that our customers get the most out of their property investment.”

The business’s solid performance over the last year has been driven by the continued investment in the build-to-rent sector offer, with new insights from the British Property Federation showing a 23 per cent jump in BTR homes complete in 2020.

“Renting continues to be a lifestyle choice that more and more people are making. The economic environment, coupled with a desire for flexible living and fit-for-purpose design, means that renting will continue to be an important option for many and a significant growth area in property.

“Developers are now creating purpose-built spaces for renters that are leading the way when it comes to design innovation. We are seeing an increasing demand for people first design that empowers a modern way life of living. For too long there has been a stigma about renting in the UK but now the flats and houses available to rent are offering a high-end quality of living without the stress of owning,” Benjamin added.

LOFT has re-invested £1.5m in its operations over the last 12 months, allowing for greater control of its stock, vehicles and logistics. It has also expanded its team by 17% to more than 140 staff at its five locations across the country.

Established in 2003, LOFT is celebrating its 18th birthday this year and has a proven track record of providing end-to-end design, project management and aftercare services for residential property developers nationwide.
