Landscaping Start-up Celebrates Planting Thousands of New Trees.
A leading London and South East based landscaping start-up have succeeded in their aim to drive the environmental benefits of green spaces in urban areas by planting three thousand new trees and over 10,000 new shrubs and plants in under two years. This huge effort as gone a little way to contribute to the Committee on Climate Change target of planting 30,000 hectares of new trees to move the UK towards their goal of net zero emissions.
Despite the Covid crisis Panoramic Landscape Contractors (PLC) has created dozens of new jobs in the landscaping sector and seen annual growth of over 400% despite the economic downturn.
The success of the business has been against a backdrop of recent business closures and has seen the business win significant projects from a range of FTSE 100 businesses like Kier, Bowmer and Kirkland and MCS Group.
Founder and CEO, Phillip Hilbeck commented, “I started Panoramic in 2019 and like everyone we had to contend with the global pandemic in early 2020 when the business was hardly a year old. Our team have worked tirelessly to exceed our clients’ expectations and as a result we’ve surpassed our targets to plant thousands of trees and shrubs across London and the South East. Our efforts have helped to turn large urban areas into much needed green spaces.”
With the business continuing its rapid development they created the new role of Managing Director to oversee future growth. Paul Hitchcott was appointed to the new role in April 2021. He started with the company as a Business Development Manager and was tasked to find new business tenders and develop client relationships. Paul commented, “As we celebrate only our second anniversary as a business, it has been a busy time for our growing team who are working hard to extend our ‘green’ credentials and we are excited that we’re making a significant impact on people who get to enjoy the new green spaces our teams create. Through hard work we are proving it is possible to grow and develop a successful business during a tough trading environment.”
The business was founded on clear values supporting honesty and integrity and delivering what’s promised. This solid ethical foundation has helped the business to retain its people during the past year resulting in no team members being furloughed or made redundant as a result of the pandemic.
And they are continuing their drive to plant thousands more trees in the coming year.
