Newcastle yachting company expands workforce and office space following "huge" pandemic sales
A Newcastle full-service yachting company has announced its workforce expansion and new offices following “huge” sales during the pandemic.
West Nautical is a full-service superyacht company providing services including sales, charter, yacht management and crew recruitment.
While the head office is located in Newcastle upon Tyne in the UK, they also have offices in Russia, France, Cyprus, and Palma Mallorca employing a total of 27 people globally.
2021 also saw a huge increase in yacht sales globally, with customers having more disposable income due to their inability to travel or spend money on leisure activities for a long period of time.
This increase in demand for sales and chartering allowed West Nautical to grow as a business throughout the pandemic.
This included the hiring of several new members of staff in the UK office as well as the launch of two brand new offices in Newcastle upon Tyne.
At the start of 2022, West Nautical will be launching their luxury, shopfront superyacht office on Osbourne Road in Jesmond.
It will serve as a hub for the marketing and PR team, as well as serve Clients in the surrounding area. The interior fit-out will be in collaboration with yacht interior designer John Vickers.
