Essential Entrances To Success

Business books have made a huge resurgence lately. Those who are wanting to be sharper, better and more successful are soaking up the words of others, as form of business education.

Anna Toms, business owner of a successful marketing consultancy, is one such person. And recently having read a book that has completely reverberated with her, she wanted to share it with other Bdaily members.

“I was recommended this book by someone who I had previously worked with, as they know well my passion for learning from others.

“The simple book cover belies the complexity of business content contained.

“Talking about the wish to be living an accomplished and successful life, the author, Oluseyi Adegun, drives home that it is not about finding the key to success but about also finding the right entrances to which those keys should be applied. Here, I wanted to share with you his advice, techniques and results that readers can hope for.

“The author launches straight in to the secret of success being the ability to see what would happen tomorrow with the courage to take action today. We are tied by responsibilities, duties, and burdens. Life is an assignment in which we must pass or fail a test before moving to the next, and there is always someone caring for us, or someone we must answer to. This is the mundanity of life. Adegun examines how as an individual we can move past that with a string of strategies and excel.

“Controlling thoughts and thinking big – this is a motivating chapter that opens you to the possibilities of what could be. Positive mental attitude, he says, is the only way to do this. Acknowledge your duties and positively see past them. In business planning, this is exactly what you and business leaders must do to have a five-year plan. It makes sense to look past that and apply this to life.

“But he heeds that your plans should not be self-centred. They should be focused on how it affected loved ones and what they wish for life too. The suggestion to take on obligations day by day leaves room for extra space, as does his suggestion to prioritise and be tactical.

“His suggestions for a successful Goal Changing Attitude are life shifting. As is the focused examination on the company you keep and reconnecting with three main drivers to success, which are dedication, devotion and determination.

“After a meaty first chapter, Adegun continues the pace of the book recommending we all set our aims to reach as high as we can. We must indeed all focus on opportunity, aiming for excellence, enjoying the journey which contains a mix of emotions all which are covered by this author’s musings.

“He does admit that every aim starts with a wish, a dream and that through hard work and focus can become great business achievement. Visions should become missions, with a push onto the top by associating with those who are already there. Self-discovery of your own talents on that journey are necessary. I particularly enjoyed this part of the book, as it boosts confidence making you evaluate your own abilities and areas to improve to get to your end goals.

“Focusing on the journey to success and all the ups and downs to get there, this book explores, suggests and directs the choice of appetite to win or to stop trying. The chapter on self-assurance was also one I read a couple of times, soaking in the advice and knowledge on the pages.

“Filled with quotes and motivations from many experts throughout the chapters, along with the steps including preparation, self-discovery and action, have an innovate approach to life, business and decision making. It is not all positive though, with realistic bouts of focus on defeat, failure, criticism and indecision.

“It is well worth a read for those who have a vision or wish to have a goal and make their lives count in a way it currently isn’t. The book brings about self-reflection, motivation and an understanding of what is going to be needed for this journey.”
