Latest labour statistics highlight a need to streamline recruitment
Responding to the latest Office for National Statistics (ONS) data, which shows a drop in UK unemployment levels at the end of 2021, Noura Dadzie, VP Sales UK & International Markets at online talent sourcing specialist Talent.com, comments:
“The UK recruitment market is becoming increasingly difficult as competition for the best talent rages on. With the latest data from the ONS revealing a decline in unemployment levels alongside an increase in the number of people on employed payrolls, there’s strong evidence that talent pools are continuing to recede. In this environment, the challenge for recruiters and employers is how to get their jobs in front of the right people quickly.
“We expect that as hiring activity continues to increase in this market, more recruitment teams will be turning to more intuitive and strategic methods of sourcing from new talent pools. Indeed, we’re increasingly having conversations with hirers who are moving funds into sophisticated tech tools to help them look outside of the usual channels to find high-in-demand skills. Without this approach to hiring, businesses and recruiters across the UK will struggle to meet the demands that are being made of them.”
