Yorkshire housebuilder creates local employment opportunities with Halifax family home development
Yorkshire housebuilder Erris Homes has acquired land on Rochdale Road and is preparing to build a development of new family homes in Greetland, Halifax.
The new development, named Calder Mews, sits on the site of the former Holly Bank Works factory, and will comprise 37 three, four and five-bedroom family homes.
The development will also present potential buyers with the option of purchasing a home from Erris Homes’ “Excellence Collection”, which features larger homes with “enhanced specifications”.
Managing director Andrew Gawthorpe said: “We are very excited to have finalised the purchase of land for our brand-new development in Halifax. Following the success of our popular Rosemeade development in Huddersfield, we are hoping to maintain this momentum and create a new standard for housing in Greetland.
“The partnerships we continue to maintain with our award-winning supply chain will remain a key element in driving our high standards.”
Scott Leather, Development Director at Erris Homes, added: “This new development is a significant milestone in our journey to becoming Yorkshire’s premier new home builder.
“We are confident the scheme will provide a real boost to the area and create employment opportunities for local people. We are also planning to actively engage with schools and community groups throughout the project.”
Erris Homes is hoping to break ground on the site next month.
