Merseyside MP praises Everkool’s apprenticeship scheme expansion and commitment to young people

Bootle MP Peter Dowd visited Everkool’s headquarters to hear about the company’s commitment to young people as the firm pledged to further expand their apprenticeship scheme over the next 12 months.

Everkool is one of the North-West’s leading providers of air-conditioning and ventilation, working alongside many of the region’s biggest brands including Merseytravel, Knowsley Council and Epic Hotels.

CEO Craig Greenwood has a strong commitment to providing young people with opportunities, launching Everkool’s apprenticeship in 2019 and actively recruiting NEET (not in education, employment or training) young people while providing skilled employment opportunities ever since.

Everkool works closely with Seetec Outsource to provide employment placements and The Engineering College to provide the training required for apprentices.

The company is now looking to expand its manufacturing operations later this year with a move to larger premises, increasing the organisation’s capacity and creating further employment and apprenticeship opportunities.

Speaking about the scheme, Bootle MP Peter Dowd, said:

“Everkool is a fantastic organisation that is giving young people not in education, employment or training a real opportunity and chance by taking them on and equipping them with the skills to go on and do well in life.

“I had the pleasure of visiting their warehouse in my constituency last Thursday to see first hand the operations at Everkool and meet with CEO Craig. The work Craig and the rest of the team are doing is amazing and I’m really excited to come back and visit when the new premises opens.”

Seetec Outsource Employment Executive, Kerry Traill, said:

“The opportunities that Everkool provides to our students at Seetec Outsource is invaluable. Craig and the rest of the team provide support, guidance and understanding which have transformed some of our students’ life prospects. We really appreciate the ongoing support and great relationship we have forged with Everkool.”

Everkool CEO, Craig Greenwood, said:

“We are delighted to secure the backing of Peter for our apprenticeship scheme. Out of all of Everkool’s achievements throughout the years, having the ability to provide employment opportunities to people from similar backgrounds to myself is one of my proudest.

“As we continue to grow, it’s my priority to ensure our apprenticeship scheme grows with us so that more young people can improve their life chances through quality employment opportunities.”
