This week’s round up of national appointments includes Ramtech, mmadigital, Stream Sensing Limited, CPW, and the United Living Group . Read on to find out more.

James Pecz, Ramtech

Global wireless solutions firm Ramtech has appointed a solutions marketing manager to coordinate its efforts in raising awareness of fire safety and security solutions.

James Pecz, who brings 20-years of construction and fire safety technology industry experience, previously fulfilled the role of business development manager for North America at Ramtech.

In this new appointment, James will now lead the global marketing division – creating strategic campaigns across Ramtech’s key market sectors of construction, industrial and leisure parks.

Before joining Ramtech in 2017, James worked as a site services manager in construction, which has been instrumental to building relationships within the building sector and bringing first-hand experience of on-site safety and project risk management.

James said: “I have been a part of major developments for countless blue-chip companies over the years and they have all played a role in helping me reach the position I am in at Ramtech today.

“What’s been integral to me ever since I began working on construction projects is making sure new technologies are adopted to create safer environments.

“My remit at Ramtech begun in the UK before expanding to the East Coast US and Canada, which has importantly helped me understand the challenges and opportunities within the fire safety industry.

James added: “I have taken great pride in building strong relationships with major general and electrical contractors while taking the time to understand the intricacies of each community we serve with our tailored packages.

Ben Hughes, mmadigital

Manchester based law firm customer acquisition specialists, mmadigital, has today announced the appointment of Ben Hughes as its new head of compliance.

Hughes’ appointment comes as mmadigital enters its next phase after securing funding from Rockpool Investments.

Hughes will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a robust company-wide regulatory compliance programme for mmadigital and its associated consumer brands, The Compensation Experts and The Medical Negligence Experts.

This includes improving the effectiveness of internal controls and governance processes, and streamlining policies to ensure the company adheres to all relevant guidelines and regulations.

Hughes brings many years’ experience to the role, working with legal and financial service organisations across regulatory compliance, quality and risk management. He is also General Director of Manchester’s Junior Chamber International.

Rob Travis, Stream Sensing Limited

Manchester-based Stream Sensing Limited, a spin-out of Industrial Tomography Systems (ITS), has appointed Rob Travis as director of business development.

Since its launch in 2021, the Stream Line Rheometer has been installed in several factories of blue chip FMCG manufacturers in Europe and North America, where trials are nearing completion ahead of expected global roll-outs.

To meet growing demand for the new technology, Rob Travis will lead the sales effort and brings a wealth of global experience in key account management, commercial marketing, project management, solution selling and SaaS.

His most recent role was with Videojet Technologies (part of Danaher Corp.), where he was head of UK&I strategic accounts and delivered growth and developed value propositions for clients.

Prior to this, Rob was a global commercial marketing manager within Videojet’s strategic accounts team, and before that, a global account manager with responsibility for Mondeléz International and Heineken.

He also previously worked for Schneider Electric Ltd in various roles. Rob is a Certified Energy Management Professional and Certified Solution Sales Master.

Commenting on his appointment, Rob Travis added: “I’m excited to be joining Stream Sensing at such a pivotal time.

“Digital manufacturing and innovation are key drivers in any global FMCG or Food & Beverage business and the team has developed a unique solution - the stunning process control advantages of the technology really speak for themselves.

“Rolling it out with the accounts we are already engaged with, plus other global household names can propel Stream Sensing into a unique space with a very viable business.

Rob continued: “With the system already being trialled with major players, we are confident that the next months and years will see this technology becoming a critical part of many process plants across a variety of sectors.”

Jim Frisby, CPW

International M&E consultancy CPW has announced the appointment of Jim Frisby to director as part of a significant number of promotions announced by the firm.

Jim joined CPW in 2015, operating in the consultancy’s Leicester office. His new role will see him maintaining the existing strong relationships with clients, team management as well as promoting the growth of the business.

His promotion is one of several across CPW’s 11 offices, with 19 other team members being rewarded for their hard work and dedication.

Jim said: “I’m incredibly proud to be starting this new role and helping CPW continue the great work it has been doing over several years in diversifying its expertise and developing its strong, robust reputation in the industry.

“We truly believe in ‘bringing buildings to life’, and this is reflected in the positive progression of the business and our advice to all our clients.”

Jim has worked on a host of schemes from the Leicester office over the past year. This includes the Hotel La Tour, which is due for completion in March 2022, the zero carbon St. Margaret’s bus station and the ground-breaking GKN aerospace global technology centre.

Other promotions include Paul Titmus and Keith Terry moving up to associate director roles in the Solihull office, and Gareth Whittaker, Hannah Beirne and Alex Skidmore being named as associates in Leeds, Solihull and Nottingham respectively.

Ole Pugholm, United Living Group

United Living Group has announced that Ole Pugholm has been appointed as Group Chief Financial Officer.

He joins the leadership team following the recent acquisition of Great British Telecoms, which boosted the United Living Group’s turnover to in excess of GBP 0.5 billion annually.

The business has also won some major contracts over the last few months including a 10 year £160m partnership with Lewisham Homes, delivering major refurbishment works to its existing housing stock; a 432 new home development in Cardiff, worth £55m.

In addition, it has secured places on the £750m Fusion 21 Decarbonisation framework and the £5bn SCF Residential framework.

Ole’s extensive experience, spanning more than 15 years in CFO level roles, includes working with private equity and Global Fortune 500 multinationals, most recently working as CFO for the Marine Division of Survitec Group Limited, a global organisation with a presence in 96 countries.

He has a significant background in turnaround management, acquisition and growth - supporting both the commercial and operational aspects of business - and an impressive track record of building strong performing finance teams, whilst creating business value through both buy and build, and organic growth.
