Creative marketing agency launches “utterly pivotal” sustainable fashion initiative
Remarkably, a London based creative, marketing and learning consultancy has launched its first ever sustainability offer RE/FASHION.
Built by a team of sustainability experts, insight specialists and leaders in the luxury and e-commerce sector, RE/FASHION is a new programme designed to help fashion and retail brands create responsible sustainable growth.
In a world where 10 per cent of greenhouse gas emissions are attributed to the fashion industry, 100bn garments being produced annually, Remarkably saw fit to develop a scheme to encourage sustainable practices.
One brand fully embracing sustainable growth with the help of Remarkably and RE/FASHION is Tara Matthews. Her brand of luxury swim and beachwear is underpinned by an ethos of running every aspect of her business in an ethical and sustainable way.
Tara Matthews, founder and creative director of the namesake brand, commented: “We are based in Corsica, and we make all garments locally in France, with our up-cycled embellished packaging made by a women-only NGO in India.
“Our ready-to-wear collection is produced in small production runs in France, we offer a personalised made-to-order service, and a swimwear repair programme called Re-kini, giving pre-loved swimwear a new lease of life.
“With Remarkably’s RE/FASHION programme we are able to identify which aspects of our sustainable initiatives customers truly care about, where we can have the most impact; and how to continue our sustainability ethos, bring the Tara Matthews brand story to life whilst scaling the business.”
CMO and Remarkably co-founder Mario Muttenthaler added: While we have a long way to go, there’s real hope that the future of fashion can be bright - a challenging and exciting time for the industry, but, essentially, an utterly pivotal time for the future of our planet.
“Having a blended understanding of fashion brands and retailers, their customers and expertise in the world of impact and sustainability, is the perfect foundation for helping brands to build and activate sustainability initiatives.”
