Rainier Developments appoints new Deputy Chairman

A Midlands-based property and land company has strengthened its senior team with the appointment of a new Deputy Chairman.

Ken Lever has been appointed to the board of Henley-in-Arden-based Rainier Developments.

In a career spanning more than five decades, he brings with him a wealth of experience in executive and non-executive roles across a varied range of sectors, with a particular background in financial management.

He is currently Chairman of the UK’s largest independent integrated waste management company Biffa, as well as leading global consultancy firm RPS Group, while he is also non-executive director of automotive retailer Vertu Motors.

Ken said: “I am really pleased to be joining Rainer, which is a business that has already seen tremendous growth in such a short space of time.

“Under the stewardship of Richard Mees and his team, Rainier has developed a strong reputation in the sector and is now regarded as a market leader in property and land development, so I am really looking forward to helping to continue this trajectory.”

Rainier Developments was established in 2015 by Eric Grove, one of the most successful property entrepreneurs in the country.

Rainier have a current portfolio of 40+ sites across the residential and industrial sector that has the potential to deliver over 4,000 homes and 1m ft2 of commercial floorspace.
