Amethyst is building its team

A Consett based developer is building its workforce with the recruitment of two new staff members.

Anne Francis, 71, from Washington, joins as a Home Sales Advisor and Jessica Maguire, 22, from Consett, as an Administration Assistant. The pair bring a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to their roles at Amethyst Homes.

Richard Bass Development Director for Amethyst Homes said: “It is great to welcome Anne and Jessica to the team, at a time when our business continues to expand. We are committed to recruiting the best candidates possible based on the experience and skills they can bring, enabling the business to continue to grow and thrive.”

Having worked in the housing industry for over 30 years - for a variety of regional and national housebuilders - Anne has sold more than 1000 homes. Now based at Amethyst’s Sleekburn View development, in South East Northumberland, Anne is responsible for home sales and managing the buying process for customers - including liaison with mortgage advisors and solicitors.

She said: “I am grateful for the opportunity to work with Amethyst Homes, a local developer that is committed to delivering quality homes and a positive buying experience for its customers. I genuinely enjoy what I do, supporting clients through the home buying process and that’s mainly why I am not yet ready to ‘hang up my pen!’

Jessica has experience working in retail and as a former administrative assistant with a local groundworks company. She said: “I am enjoying the new challenges and opportunities that the job presents, as well as being part of a friendly team which promotes staff development.

“Being local to the area, it was important to me that I found work with an organisation that supports the communities in which it operates, through the provision of communal facilities, job and training opportunities and charitable work.”

Established in 2013, Amethyst Homes has built its business around its customers, with a strong emphasis on providing quality, sustainable homes in the communities in which people choose to live and work. To date it has delivered over 350 properties in the North East.

In addition to Sleekburn View in South East Northumberland, Amethyst is building 55 homes at The Meadows in Stillington, close to Stockton-on-Tees and is currently developing a fifth phase of properties at Regents Park, Consett - which has already seen over 250 new homes completed.

Both Regents Park and The Meadows won Premier Guarantee, Quality Recognition Awards in 2021, for the high standard of homes delivered.
