This week’s round up of London appointments includes Thames Valley, The Government Property Agency Night Time Industries Association. Read on to find out more.

Ed Rehill, Thames Valley

Thames Valley planning and development consultancy Lichfields has announced a senior appointment as it continues to expand its operations and mark its 60th anniversary year.

Ed Rehill joins as an Associate Director based at the company’s Apex Plaza offices in Reading, where he will be working alongside an expanding team of planning and development specialists.

At Lichfields he will focus on strategic planning, housing and commercial development alongside progressing business development initiatives. Currently employing 215 people, his appointment comes as Lichfields has seen fee revenues reach £22.6m and aims to pass the £25m milestone by the end of 2022.

Daniel Lampard, senior director and head of the Thames Valley office, said: “Ed will be a major asset to the Thames Valley office, which has seen strong performance across all areas of operation in the last 12 months.”

Commenting on his new role, Ed Rehill said: “I’m really looking forward to taking my career to the next level and working with the professional groups within Lichfields on new opportunities. I know the Thames Valley very well, so will be looking to grow my local networks further in the months ahead to support the business even more.”

Brindha McDonald, The Government Property Agency

The Government Property Agency (GPA) has appointed Brindha McDonald as its new Chief Security Officer to lead its security posture strategies.

In collaboration with key Civil Service partners, Brindha will continue to build the GPA’s security strategy and capability across its collective security status of all assets, software, hardware, services, networks and information. Key to this is personnel and infrastructure security.

Steven Boyd, CEO at the GPA, said: “As the Government’s delivery body for its office and warehouse portfolios, it’s crucial our security standards are at the highest level. With the evolving needs to the way we all work, it’s imperative all civil servants across the UK are protected across digital and physical environments.”

Brindha said: “I am extremely pleased to be leading the GPA’s security strategies and delivery across digital and physical environments. The GPA is creating great places to work for civil servants across the UK. A crucial part of this is ensuring our assets - both physical and digital - are safe and secure for everyone.”

Sacha Lord, Night Time Industries Association

The NTIA Board are delighted to unanimously appoint Sacha Lord, Night Time Economy Advisor for Greater Manchester and Co-Founder of Parklife and The Warehouse Project, as Chair of the Board of Directors.

Sacha has worked hand in hand with the NTIA and stakeholders across the UK over the last two years, and has established himself as one of the stand out voices within the sector. This appointment will add considerable weight to the Board, in the drive to raise awareness of the importance of the night time industry to the UK economy.

Sacha Lord, Night Time Economy Advisor for Greater Manchester, and Co-Founder of Parklife and The Warehouse Project, said, “The Night Time Industries Association is a critical player in the sector, and has been a key voice in representing operators, not just in London but nationally across the UK.”
