Bumble’s design and app development partner, Fortnight in six-strong hiring spree amidst record growth
London and Manchester-based design and app development studio, Fortnight, has made six new appointments including a new head of design.
Hot on the heels of a string of new business wins, award-winning work and client work including Bumble, Simba Sleep and Thursday, the studio has appointed Sebastian Barrymore as its new head of design.
Barrymore previously led design for large brands such as Sky News, Natwest, Facebook and most recently Sainsbury’s new Nectar card proposition. With over 20 years experience, his skill set includes a strong graphics and visual design background paired with an extensive knowledge of UX and an evidence-based design approach.
The other new recruits are product designers Fabiola Cardenes, Michael Danso and Liam Gill, product manager Dinal Abeysekar and UX and project manager Patrick Courtney who brings fintech and healthtech experience. Cardenes has worked with a variety of top B2B and B2C brands, including Toyota, Lexus, PayPal and most recently with NFT’s. With a keen interest in websites and apps, she has spent the last 4 years developing her skills as a UX/UI designer. Further new appointments are planned.
Rico Rauch, Fortnight Studio’s founder and CEO, said: “We punch above our weight thanks to our design sprints and agile methodologies, with each milestone taking a fortnight or less. Our iterative approach de-risks digital design and development for clients whilst massively increasing their chances of success, but it also makes us attractive to top talent, along with our great company culture. With our demand increasing, these talented new hires join at a super exciting time, and we look forward to doing great things together.”
