Stockport military engineering firm unveils 120 job vacancies following £2.3bn defence contract
A Stockport military engineering firm has revealed the creation of 120 new jobs following a £2.3bn Ministry of Defence contract.
WFEL offers concept design, prototype manufacture and full-scale production of a range of military-grade engineering solutions across the complete spectrum of the defence sector, including vehicle integration and aviation products.
The company is already well known for its manufacture of military bridging systems, supplied to over 40 armies around the world, and is also a key partner in the manufacture of new ‘Boxer’ armoured military vehicles.
New roles at WFEL’s northwest site are available immediately in both the military bridging and military vehicles divisions and cover a wide spectrum including training, accounting, manufacturing, engineering, quality engineering/control, project management and welding/fitters.
