Sustainability platform partners with EV tech startup to simplify the switch to electric vehicles

FuturePlus, the online sustainability measurement platform, has announced a new sustainability partnership with EV technology startup Diode, which will make switching to EV “smarter, easier and more affordable”.

‘FuturePlus powered by Diode’ will see the two London based technology companies work together to provide an “easy-to-use” solution for organisations to make a “faster, easier” switch to electric vehicles, whether it be for their company fleet or the private vehicles of their workforce.

The partnership will allow FuturePlus members and their employees to use the Diode platform to understand the environmental benefits of switching to EV and make that switch easier.

With the 2030 ban on the sale of petrol and diesel cars looming closer, ‘FuturePlus powered by Diode’ aims to reduce the friction of conversion to EV in a “cost-effective and practical” way.

FuturePlus is an online sustainability self-management tool that transforms the way organisations understand and action their sustainability goals created by The Sustainability Group. Diode specialises in electric vehicle suitability assessments, home and workplace charging infrastructure recommendations, and charge point procurement.

Alex Smith, co-founder and partner of The Sustainability Group and FuturePlus, said: “‘FuturePlus powered by Diode’ is an innovative collaboration that creates real-life solutions for companies by providing personalised information, including infrastructure, carbon savings, car options and investment requirements, in an easily digestible way.

“We are absolutely delighted to be teaming up with fellow tech start-up Diode as we see this type of dynamic collaboration within sustainability as being key to driving the British economy and the green agenda forward.

“We believe that this is an incredible asset for FuturePlus members, providing tangible insight for organisations looking at options to move to electric vehicles.”

Dan Eyre, co-founder and COO at Diode, added: “Climate change is the biggest issue we will all face in our lifetime, and our new partnership with Future Plus will support businesses as they embark on their transition into zero-emission vehicles.

“FuturePlus provides detailed environmental impact measurement and wide-ranging strategic support for businesses, and our platform gives businesses and their employees the tools to make informed choices along their individual electrification journeys – a hugely complementary combination!”
