This week’s round up of Yorkshire appointments includes CBRE, rradar and Caddick Group. Read on to find out more.

Catherine Binks, CBRE
Global real estate advisor CBRE has strengthened its Northern UK Development team with a senior hire in Yorkshire. Catherine Birks has been appointed as senior director, bringing 20 years strategic development and regeneration experience to the team.
Catherine’s expertise is particularly focussed on the promotion of public sector assets and public and private partnerships. Catherine joins from LCR, owned by the Department for Transport, with a track record in long term strategic regeneration projects including King’s Cross and Stratford.
Catherine is based in Yorkshire, but has worked regionally and nationally having previously held an advisory role at Deloitte, providing development expertise to public and private sector clients, including Transport for London, NHS, Ministry of Defence, as well as Local Authorities.
Alistair Chapman, Senior Director, UK Development Advisory team said: “We are delighted to announce Catherine’s arrival at CBRE as she brings a wealth of development experience to our team.
Catherine added: “I am excited to be joining CBRE as the lead for the Development Advisory business in Yorkshire. I’ll be building on the success of the established team, providing expert tailored advice to clients, and promoting the capability of the wider CBRE business in the strategic regeneration and development sector.”

Richard Crabb, rradar
rradar, the Hull based litigation and commercial law firm which specialises in digital and insurance innovation, has appointed ex-HSBC executive Richard Crabb as chief operating officer.
Richard will be in charge of the strategic and operational delivery of the legal teams, together with corporate governance and change management functions for rradar, with a focus on delivering an integrated service model.
CEO Gary Gallen commented: “I am delighted to welcome Richard to rradar in another key appointment for the business. Coming from the multinational banking and financial services organisation, HSBC, Richard brings significant legal and commercial leadership experience and expertise to rradar.
During his 10-year tenure at HSBC Bank, Richard held several senior executive posts, including Global Head of Commercial, Tech and Innovation. In this role, he was responsible for the development and implementation of HSBC Bank’s commercial and innovation strategies for its Global Legal Function.
Richard added: “I’m delighted to have joined rradar at such a pivotal juncture. We have an incredible journey ahead of us, expanding and growing our legal services business with a key focus on driving our private legal services capabilities and offering, including our training and consultancy services.

Alexandra Walsh, Joe Hardy and Stephanie Livesey - Caddick Group
Yorkshire headquartered multi-sector property developer Caddick has welcomed a number of new recruits as the organisation looks to boost its land pipeline, procure more sites for development and manage its expanding portfolio of completed schemes.
Alexandra Walsh, Joe Hardy and Stephanie Livesey have all joined the business over recent months, as part of a raft of new recruits helping the business to grow across its core areas.
Alexandra Walsh joins Caddick Land as a Land and Planning Manager. Before joining Caddick, Alexandra spent over 6 years at Avison Young (formally GVA) and had also worked within the Planning Policy Department at the City of York Council.
Joe Hardy joins Caddick Developments as an Acquisitions Analyst, having graduated from his MSc in Property Development and Planning with a distinction from Nottingham Trent University.
Steph Livesey completes the list of new starters, having joined this summer. Stephanie’s previous role was with a local estate agent as a commercial property manager and alongside working.
Myles Hartley, managing director of Caddick Developments commented: “Having invested in the future of the Yorkshire region and beyond, it’s great to see some new hires joining directly from the Caddick apprenticeship schemes. The scheme ensures commitment to growth and continues to go from strength to strength.”
