This week’s round up of national appointments includes Vita Group, Lichfields and Elanders UK. Read on to find out more.

Russell Hayes, Vita Group

Vita Group has bolstered its senior leadership team at an “important time of continued growth” with a significant internal promotion following 17 years of dedicated service to the business.

Russell Hayes has been promoted to director of residential and will lead the businesses residential portfolio which includes Circle Square apartments by Vita Living and will include U+nion, Vita Group’s new co-living brand which is set to deliver 1,600 new homes at St John’s in the heart of Manchester when it opens in 2024.

Russell was part of the team which successfully launched Vita Living apartments at Circle Square last year, building a successful sales and marketing function to stabilise the building’s occupancy as well shaping the product to ensure it exceeds resident expectations.

He has been with the business for over 17 years, starting within Select Property’s sales team and quickly establishing himself as a key team player, achievements include supporting the businesses’ major institutional investments such as the £600m DWS deal as well helping the business to launch its family of residential brands for both Vita Group and Select Property.

Six appointments, Lichfields

Manchester planning and development consultancy Lichfields has announced several new appointments to support growth and meet strong demand for its services.

Alexandra Gavin and Josh Woollard join as senior planners at Lichfields King Street office while Harry Russell, Abigail Knowles and Clover Long start as planners. They are joined by economics consultant Tom Harrison, who will be part of the office’s economic team.

All six appointments will be working on a range of commercial, industrial, housing and leisure development projects alongside progressing business development initiatives across the Manchester and the wider North West of England region.

Now employing 22 at its Manchester office, the move comes as Lichfields continues to mark its 60th anniversary year and target fees around the £25m milestone by the end of 2022.

Simon Pemberton, senior director and head of Lichfields Manchester office, commented: “The new appointments reflect our continued success and organic growth alongside the opportunity for career progression at Lichfields.

“Alexandra, Josh, Harry, Abigail, Clover and Tom will all be great additions to our team. They have some excellent experience, bringing even more depth to our services as we continue to grow off the back of a diverse, high quality client base and exciting portfolio of work.”

David Clark, Elanders UK

Elanders UK, has appointed David Clark as operations manager at its dedicated swing-tag and fulfilment site at Spreckley, Nottingham. David, formerly operations and quality assurance manager at Stirland Paterson Group, is one of a number of new appointments across Elanders UK in the last 12 months.

David commented: “Elanders UK is a growing, ambitious company with a team of 15 currently based at Spreckley. As operations manager, I will be in charge of the site and one of my key aims is to build on the message that we are a good employer that offers strong career development opportunities.

“We continue to see strong growth potential within our current products as well as a number of new opportunities and I want to continue improving our processes and procedures so we remain the go-to specialist for high-quality swing tags and fulfilment.”

Kevin Rogers, managing director at Elanders UK, added: “David has a highly impressive background with 40 years of experience in the print industry and has the drive and ambition to match.

“Elanders UK is a rare example of a business offering the majority of its services in-house rather than relying on outsourcing. We pride ourselves on our ability to deliver efficiently and to an excellent standard. David will play a key role in driving the site forward.”
