Anneline Dowell, Hina Joshi & Mark Walsh, North East BIC

Business support organisation, the North East BIC has expanded its advisory team as it bids to help more enterprises in the face of increasing economic challenges.

Sunderland-based BIC has appointed three new specialists, growing its team of business and social enterprise advisers to 15. The team’s combined experience is an invaluable resource provided through a number of projects assisting hundreds of business owners.

The three new advisers Anneline Dowell, Hina Joshi, and Mark Walsh are working with small businesses and social enterprises. Commenting on her new role Hina said: “I’ve worked in business support for more than 25 years, including a period when I was both self-employed as a consultant alongside being employed, so I know all about the balance required in juggling the two.”

Mark, who set up his own social enterprise, Lighthouse Therapy, with BIC support three years ago, joins the team as a social enterprise adviser helping people who are providing much-needed services for their local communities.

Anneline also brings a wealth of knowledge and skills to the team from her former roles as a business adviser, estates and facilities manager, charity secretary and charity fundraiser, all of which are indispensable to the small enterprises she helps.

Clémence Tyrel de Poix, Paul Cole & Daniel Frazer, Identity Consult

Award winning, independent development and construction consultancy Identity Consult has appointed three new colleagues in the North East this month, taking its total head count to 67.

Clémence Tyrel de Poix takes on the role of assistant consultant having moved from Sharkey. Paul Cole joins the team as senior health and safety consultant moving from DHL, while Daniel Frazer joins as consultant project manager.

The team will be based out of Identity Consult’s office at Quay West Business Village in Sunderland; the company also has offices in Preston, York and Salford.

Speaking of the appointments, Mark Doherty, managing director at Identity Consult said: “Our colleagues are at the heart of our business, and we are proud to have invested in great local talent this past year, nurturing the skills and expertise of our existing colleagues, and welcoming great new people like Clémence, Paul and Daniel.

“They each bring their own unique set of skills and I look forward to working alongside them.”

Kris Bensley, Elanders UK

Elanders UK, has appointed Kris Bensley as operations manager at its UK headquarters in North Tyneside.

Kris, formerly operations manager at Avery Dennison, joins with 20 years of manufacturing experience and is one of a number of new starters across Elanders UK. Steven White, also re-joins the company from Print North East as an account executive, having previously worked at Elanders UK for nearly 12 years as an estimator account executive.

Kris, said: “Elanders UK is continuing to build on its established reputation right across its UK sites. This is an exciting time to join the company, and I follow high-calibre appointments in recent months which reflects the energy and top-quality team that we have in place, one that is a mixture of both young new talent and experience to continue to drive us forward.

“I want to build on the strong foundations already in place and really drive forward continuous improvement and lean processes.”

Kevin Rogers, managing director at Elanders UK, said: “Kris has a strong manufacturing background combined with being a team player and motivator. He is a very valuable addition to our workforce and to our clients.”
