Nottingham and London based digital marketing agency, Impression has ended 2022 with the appointments of two new senior hires to bolster both its paid media and people offering.

The agency has announced the launch of a new Programmatic Advertising specialism alongside the additional appointment of a senior learning and development specialist to its people team.

Harriet Howarth, previously programmatic lead at Dentsu-owned digital marketing agency Merkle, has been appointed to develop and grow the programmatic advertising specialism at Impression, Harriet will be responsible for shaping the agency’s programmatic positioning into the future.

Ellen Melhuish also joins the agency in its People department as the first learning and development specialist and will devise and deliver learning and development initiatives across the company.

The introduction of this role supports Impression’s long-term vision to be the best place where digital talent goes to transform their career. Ellen has previous experience at Frontiers Media, The Prince’s Trust and Oxfam.

Ross McDonald, Team ITG

Team ITG, the technology-led, multichannel marketing activation business, today announces that it has appointed Ross Macdonald as head of M&A. Ross, who has previously held senior positions overseeing mergers and acquisitions at e-commerce company Heroes and M&A specialists WY Partners, is tasked with leading ITG’s global growth plan.

Ross will lead on identifying partnerships, new mergers, and acquisitions for ITG to expand the company’s footprint in Europe and the US.

Tim Preston, Total Media Solutions

Total Media Solutions, the publisher-first technology company that helps publishers manage their revenue, and one of only nine Google-certified resellers globally, has announced the appointment of Tim Preston as VP sales and business development, EMEA to spearhead its growth in the region.

Based in London, he will be responsible for driving the company’s business opportunities in EMEA. He is also tasked with building a new sales team to meet the technology and revenue demands of both publishers and advertisers.

A seasoned commercial leader who’s held managerial roles at companies including AOL, DoubleClick and OpenX, Preston brings invaluable knowledge of the ad tech marketplace, with expertise spanning commercial strategy, partner and client relationships, publisher engagement, and new customer acquisition.

Commenting on his appointment, Preston said: “The Total Media Solutions team boasts an impressive 18-year track record of delivering platform access, diamond-standard tech solutions and revenue management expertise and consultancy services for publishers and advertisers.

“Leading the business’ growth into this new market is the perfect next step in my career, and I’m hugely excited about the opportunities 2023 is set to bring.”
