North West PR agency joins forces with law firm for full-service crisis offering

Leading independent law firm Brabners and North west-based PR agency Peppermint Soda have joined forces to create a comprehensive package for companies in need of specialist reputational and legal advice in a crisis.

Peppermint Soda, the multi-award-winning public relations specialist, has guided various individuals and organisations on crisis communications ranging from the horse meat scandal to the PPE controversy during the Covid pandemic.

Brabners, which was named as the UK’s Leading Independent Law Firm at the British Legal Awards in 2021, has four offices across the north of England and advises companies and individuals on various legal and reputational matters. They recently acted for Coleen Rooney in the Wagatha Christie case.

Jean-Philippe Glaskie, MD of Peppermint Soda, said, “Most organisations need external support when there is a crisis, and hasty or inappropriate decisions can be very costly from a legal and reputational perspective. Brands can be destroyed overnight, and organisations could face millions of pounds worth of claims or compensation if the wrong decisions are made.

“This new partnership with Brabners ensures clients can access an immediate 360 circle of guidance and support to help them navigate these challenging times and emerge from a crisis with their reputation intact.”

The Peppermint Soda and Brabners’ offering ensures that those firms facing a crisis have “all bases covered”, allowing them to minimise any impact on the firm and to get back to business as swiftly as possible.

Nick McAleenan, crisis management Partner at Brabners, added, “In today’s fast-paced business environment, it’s crucial for companies to have a plan in place in the event of a crisis. We very much look forward to working with Peppermint Soda and offering clients a full-service response to challenging reputation management issues.”
