London agency achieves national listing as a leading workplace for wellbeing

After achieving the Great Place to Work certification in 2022, multi-channel marketing agency Cartwright Communications has been listed as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces for Wellbeing in 2023 by the global authority on workplace culture.

The award recognises the firm’s dedication to creating a progressive working environment and supporting personal development. Private healthcare, a mentor system and generous maternity and paternity packages are some of the many benefits that have contributed to Cartwright’s outstanding employee experience and company advocacy.

The agency also runs an engagement survey every 90 days to assess whether staff are feeling valued within the team and to gauge the sentiment in reaction to company decisions. Last year the engagement score peaked at an impressive 88.9 per cent, demonstrating strong positivity across the team.

Rose Hayes, director at Cartwright Communications, said: “Our team is our most important asset and supporting them to be the very best they can be sits at the heart of our business plan last year alone we delivered more 45 hours of continuing professional development training (CPD) for example.

“In 2023, we will be placing even more emphasis on wellbeing through a range of new benefits and initiatives that we encourage everyone in the team, regardless of seniority, to engage with and be involved in.

“It’s great to be recognised alongside many amazing UK businesses for our focused efforts on forging an enjoyable and engaged workplace experience, we thoroughly feel the success of this is due to heavily investing in the wellbeing and long-term retention of our team.”

Great Place to Work’s culture experts analysed thousands of employee surveys, assessing people’s holistic experiences of wellbeing at work to determine the UK’s Best Workplaces™ for Wellbeing list. The surveys asked employees to comment on how their company supports their work-life balance, sense of fulfilment, job satisfaction, psychological safety and financial security.

Evaluations also included an assessment of how well the organisation was able to deliver consistency of their employee experience across all departments and seniority levels.

Benedict Gautrey, managing director of Great Place to Work UK, said: “At the heart of every organisation are its people, and looking after their wellbeing should be much more than a package of impressive perks on a careers website.

“We know when employees feel genuinely content and at ease within their roles, they are much more engaged and productive. Now in our second year of the UK’s Best Workplace for Wellbeing list, we’re once again able to showcase the leading organisations providing cultures conducive to outstanding psychological, physical and social wellbeing.

“A huge congratulations to Cartwright Communications for making this prestigious list.”
