Jennifer Clements, SmartFrame Technologies

SmartFrame Technologies, an SaaS technology provider specialising in image streaming, has announced the appointment of Jennifer Clements, who joins the company as its new global publishing director.

Jennifer arrives with “extensive experience” within the publishing industry, developing brand strategy and facilitating commercial partnerships. Most recently, she served as commercial director of parenting at Immediate Media Co, where she worked across MadeForMums and Junior websites, overseeing all commercial lines into brands.

She will be tasked with bringing greater awareness of SmartFrame’s product and its various advantages to an extensive range of global publishers, specifically around the removal of image licensing fees and accrual of incremental ad revenues; increased user engagement for better attention and longer dwell times; and more robust brand safety.

Rob Sewell, CEO of SmartFrame, commented: “Jennifer’s deep expertise in the publishing space will be crucial in helping us develop our in-image contextual ad offering and bringing it to an even broader range of audiences with global partnerships.”

Jennifer added: “What caught my attention is SmartFrame’s vision. The company brings much-needed innovation to the industry, and reinvigorating our image ecosystem is a mission I’m excited to get behind.

“The technology empowers content owners, drives more transparency in the advertising and publishing industries, and sets the stage for a more equitable and efficient image sourcing and licensing model. I am thoroughly looking forward to working with great creative people who are keen to innovate in the image space.”

Emily Foges, Clu

Joseph Williams, co-founder and CEO of recruitment tech firm Clu, has appointed decorated tech executive Emily Foges as senior advisor and chair of the company to drive a strategic step change as the company prepares for its first major investment round.

Educated at University College London, Emily’s award-winning career spans over 25 years and includes senior roles at Deloitte, BetFair, BT Retail and Equifax. An entrepreneur in her own right, she also scaled AI platform Luminance from a team of two to a $100m valuation and global market leadership under her direction as CEO.

Emily commented: “Clu is a revolutionary idea. My appointment is a sign of their readiness to scale and further demonstrate the untapped value in overlooked and underutilised communities.

“I’ve spent my career innovating through technology and making industries work better for everyone. I am excited to work with Joseph and fellow Co-Founder Cayelan Mendoza to bring Clu’s vision to life on an international scale, driving higher-performing and more diverse workplaces world-over.”

Joseph Williams added: “Emily’s incredible experience of building successful digital products makes her a phenomenal appointment for us at this stage in our journey.

“Her proven ability to galvanise diverse, international groups around a compelling concept of the future will play a vital role in helping us scale our vision for the future of recruitment and we are very excited about what we can achieve together for our team, partners, customers and communities.”

Jon Green, Acumentice

Healthcare management consultancy Acumentice has strengthened the team with the appointment of Jon Green as Senior Advisor. Jon is a former hospital chief executive who joined the NHS nearly 20 years ago under the “Gateway to Leadership” scheme after a successful first career in the Royal Navy as a Warfare Officer.

He has worked in both the acute and community sectors, predominantly in operational roles, across London, East Midlands and East Anglia, with over half of that time operating at a Trust Board level. Previous roles include chief operating officer of an acute and community provider and a former chief executive officer of an acute Foundation Trust.

He also holds senior advisory roles with a hospital to a homecare company and a commercial innovation company. Jon joins Acumentice as its senior advisor supporting the company strategically with future growth and development.

Jon commented: “I’m a strong advocate of creating the right environment to enable change, most importantly getting the cultural aspects of any change right. Alongside this, getting the correct governance in place and having decision-making that is based on data and its analysis, all of which combine to deliver sustainable change.

“I’m delighted to be joining the wealth of talent within Acumentice and supporting the business as it goes through an exciting growth period”.

Managing director of Acumentice, Karina Malhotra, added: “Jon’s experience and knowledge of the industry made him the perfect candidate to join us in this newly created role. We are looking forward to seeing his contributions to help us reach our business goals and expand the services currently available to our clients”.
