The nine-storey high specification development will provide 88 en-suite studios with on-site cinema, gym, lounge, dining and study space.

Nicholas commented: “Urban Group specialises in residential schemes, from new-build, buy-to-let and student accommodation, to housing association frameworks, an area where both Jamie and I have extensive experience.

“It is a fast-growing team, working with a strong team of sub-contractors and supply-chain partners. The role will also give me the opportunity to continue my passion for mentoring the next generation of project managers.”

Isobel King, Aubergine

Leeds PR agency Aubergine has appointed its first full time employee following a record-breaking hat-trick of new business wins.

The business hired University of Sheffield graduate Isobel King on a permanent basis to help the directors with account support, journalist liaison, social media, copywriting and business administration. Isobel joins a roster of 10 contracted freelancers who support Aubergine with media relations, content, events and social media services.

Isobel, who received distinction in her Masters for International Public and Political Communication, has previous experience of digital PR, working as a digital communications assistant for the campaigns and alumni relations department at the University of Sheffield.

Isobel (pictured left) commented: “I’m so excited to join the dynamic team at Aubergine - it’s clear to see the agency is really going places and I’m really thrilled to be a part of their growth journey.”

Aubergine director and co-founder Emma Gardner added: “Our projected turnover is now set to triple in 2023, we couldn’t be more thrilled to add Isobel to our team. She’s clearly passionate about our wheelhouse of sustainability, food, health and tech - and is already flying.

“Despite challenging economic times, it’s crucial brands and businesses use their communications to educate the public on their offering - so there’s never been a more important time to invest in PR.”

Helen Curtis, Huddersfield Business School

Huddersfield Business School has recently appointed a new chair to its internal Advisory Board, Helen Curtis. Founder of Coterie Marketing, Helen, will work closely with the Dean of Huddersfield Business School to support the board to provide appropriate support for its stakeholders.

The aim of the school’s Advisory Board is to strengthen the school’s links with industry and professions to provide input into the academic and strategic direction of Huddersfield Business School.

Helen is a 1996 alumnus of the business school with a BA (Hons) in Marketing and has an innate passion and enthusiasm for the university, making her the perfect candidate to take on the role of chair.

She commented: “The expertise I have brought to the Help to Grow programme is around Value Proposition Development. I’ve worked with the last two cohorts, and our format for Value Propositions is an excellent opportunity for businesses to pause and step into their customers’ shoes.

“I help the businesses articulate their value in a customer-centric way, which is hard when you’re very close to your business. The Value Proposition module gets the businesses to identify their key differentiators - I like to call them their ‘golden nuggets’ that help them set their businesses apart.

Nicola Stenberg, director of executive education at Huddersfield Business School, added: “We’re delighted to bring Helen on to the team to head up our Advisory Board. She’ll play a vital role in supporting the rest of the board in driving actions forward and will be a catalyst for helping the team and, therefore, the school develop.”
