Advanced materials and technology firm Hypetex, the world’s first manufacturer of coloured carbon fibre, has appointed Michael Dowse as a Non-Executive Director and Board Member.

As president of Wilson Sporting Goods, Michael led 1,500+ colleagues in delivering the company’s global strategy, corporate operations, and manufacturing across more than 160 countries. He then took up the position of chief executive officer and executive director of the United States Tennis Association, the largest governing body in the sport.

Michael will join a high-level group of advisors at Hypetex, which includes board chairman Neil MacDougall and former Diageo chief financial officer Nick Rose. They will support CEO Marc Cohen and chief technology officer Nigel Dunlea as they continue to expand the company’s presence in sport and other sectors worldwide.

Michael commented: “Hypetex is an incredibly exciting company at the forefront of advanced composites. This sector is growing rapidly, especially in its application to sporting equipment and I’m eager to support this growth through utilising my network and experience.”

Marc Cohen added: “To bring in someone of Michael’s stature and capability is a true testament to the progress that Hypetex has made. I could not imagine a more perfect addition to our board and I’m excited to see how we grow from here.”

Deborah Hardy, Nucleus Commercial Finance

As part of the Group Board, Deborah will be contributing to maintaining the effectiveness of internal and external operations and further strengthening relationships between Nucleus’ UK and India based firms, ensuring high quality management between the dual strands of the business, and assisting in the maintenance of Nucleus’ high-quality focus on its people.

Deborah commented: “The growth opportunities for Nucleus are huge and I’m looking forward to using my experience to assist with the overall management and strategic direction of the company. With the business operating on two continents, staff engagement and productivity will be central to our success.
