This week’s round up of London appointments includes FRP Advisory, ViewersLogic and Beam. Read on to find out more…

Jon Walklin, FRP Advisory

Specialist business advisory firm FRP Advisory has strengthened its national forensic services offering with the appointment of a new director in its London based team.

Jon Walklin has more than 30 years’ experience acting as a forensic expert witness providing testimony in both civil and criminal cases, for claimants and defendants, the prosecution and defence, as well as in corporate investigations.

He specialises in forensic analysis of the application of imaging technology, including the enhancement and analysis of video and photographic imagery, the operation of CCTV systems, x-ray examination of critical components, military applications, and medical imaging.

Jon began his career at the Ministry of Defence and has worked on a number of high-profile cases throughout his career. This includes processing the CCTV images of Princess Diana and Dodi Fayed from the Hôtel Ritz Paris, and working on professional footballer Dean Saunders’ successful defence against a major personal injury claim after fellow player Paul Elliot suffered a career-ending injury on the field.

At FRP, he will primarily take a business development and advisory role, helping drive continued growth of its now 36-strong forensic services team, which includes experts who specialise in data acquisition and eDiscovery.

Jon commented: “Virtually every legal case now involves some form of digital device, disputed document, audio or visual evidence making it more important than ever that our clients have the right forensic support to help them successfully defend themselves or bring an action.

“FRP has built a practice with a strong reputation that delivers a full end-to-end suite of forensic services, supported by the latest technology. I’m excited to join the team, and support its growth with my specific experience in video technology and big data.”

Shahnawaz Ahmad, ViewersLogic

ViewersLogic, a consumer behaviour data company, has appointed Shahnawaz Ahmad to serve as the company’s dedicated panel manager.

Reporting to CEO, Ronny Golan, Ahmed will oversee growth and operations for the company’s Single-Source Data (SSD) Panel. His appointment forms part of the company’s ongoing strategy to enable brands of all sizes to understand the effectiveness of their TV ad campaigns through comprehensive cross-media insight.

Joining ViewersLogic from Call to Marketing, Ahmad brings proven consumer sector experience in driving strategic project planning, execution and optimisation for consumer campaigns, strong leadership capabilities, and extensive client support expertise.

Commenting on Ahmad’s appointment, Golan noted: “Our single-source data gives brands the insights into actual human behaviour they need to fully optimise campaign performance and track the entire cross-media customer journey.

“By growing our Panel, brands of all sizes will now be able to access these vital insights. We’re pleased to be bringing Shahnawaz into the ViewersLogic team to help us deliver this.”

Ahmad added: “I’m delighted to be leading a solution that’s set to transform the current state of TV advertising measurement. Allowing brands to finally move away from legacy models and the poor quality, costly, unreliable insight they produce, ViewersLogic is able to equip them with verified data that powers smarter decisions.

“Offering complete performance oversight, the SSD Panel improves in-flight and future campaign results, while minimising wasted spend, which is more vital than ever in the current environment.”

Helena Horsburgh, Beam

Social impact startup Beam has hired Twilio’s Helena Horsburgh as its second chief of staff following a period of rapid growth. In the past 12 months, Beam has doubled its headcount to 90 people and expanded to major cities including Manchester, Leeds and Newcastle.

She will also support Beam’s growth across new markets, while opening the door to other disadvantaged groups including people leaving prison. Helena joins Beam from tech unicorn Twilio, where she was chief of staff to the senior vice president of international.

While there, she was responsible for strategic projects focused on organisational design and regulatory compliance, as well as running operations and internal communications for Twilio’s EMEA, APAC and LATAM regions. Prior to Twilio, Horsburgh held senior sales, partnerships and operations roles at tech giants Stripe and Dropbox.
