Paul Stevenson, Parkdean Resorts

Parkdean Resorts, the UK’s largest holiday park operator, is continuing its work in supporting people into the hospitality sector with an exciting new development.

Paul Stevenson, Apprenticeships Principal at Parkdean Resorts, has been voted as the Chair of the hospitality manager group at the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education, a government body responsible for designing the apprenticeships standard for the hospitality sector, as well as improving access to high quality apprenticeships and technical education in order to transform the skills landscape.

In his new role, Paul will have the opportunity to use his knowledge, skills and experience to develop robust standards that will help all potential and current managers within hospitality to progress and develop their careers, in turn ensuring Parkdean Resorts is ahead of the game and playing an instrumental role in developing standards within the holiday park sector.

Speaking about his new role, Paul said: “Having spent over 40 years working in the hospitality sector I’m delighted to be able to use my knowledge and experience to help guide and shape the standards for those progressing in their careers.

“At Parkdean Resorts, we’re committed to nurturing talent and giving our teams opportunities to learn and develop, and I’m excited to bring all of this experience to my new role to help raise standards across the whole hospitality sector, not just at holiday parks.”

Sharon Burgess, Healix Health

Healix Health, the UK’s leading corporate healthcare trust provider, today announces that it has appointed Sharon Burgess as its new Operations Director in a move that signals the continued success and expansion of the business.

Burgess joins Healix from AXA Health where she was part of the Leadership team, Corporate Customer Service Manager. She brings over 30 years industry experience to the role, having held previous positions in customer services at Simplyhealth and AXA. Her background in both healthcare and customer success make her ideally suited to the role as the business looks to ensure the continuous delivery of high quality services for its clients and meet the growing demand for its healthcare trust offering.

The news follows an impressive year for the business, building on its 20% growth in 2022 and adding to the spate of new hires towards the end of last year, on top of the opening of a new office in Bristol.

Ian Talbot, CEO at Healix Health, comments: “Bringing Sharon on board is a huge step in helping us meet this demand and continue to deliver excellent services to our clients. Sharon brings an indispensable wealth of knowledge and diverse market experience to Healix I’m thrilled to welcome her to the team and I look forward to working together to drive further growth.”

As part of CrowdProperty’s ambitious new 3-year growth strategy, the business has appointed Adrian Gurnell as Chief Technology Officer and Sid Khan as Programme Manager.

Since 2017, Adrian has focused on the dynamic UK Fintech sector: leading DivideBuy Technology through a significant 3-year growth period as the fastest growing UK Fintech, and more recently as CIO at Chetwood Financial, the disruptive digital bank backed by Elliot Advisors.

Sid is a highly experienced Programme Manager and IT Leader, having developed and delivered change programmes for businesses including Misys Asset Management Systems, Dealogic and EDM Group over the last 20 years. Sid’s expertise in managing projects as a result of implementing technical and behavioural change is backed by certifications as an MSP Practitioner, P30 Practitioner and AGILE PM Practitioner.

Adrian commented: “CrowdProperty has been recognised for its tech credentials and exceptional growth at a national and international level, so I am excited to support its mission to further disrupt the specialist finance market. Customer relationships, continuous improvement and a culture of innovation are key areas of focus which I look forward to collaborating on with the wider team.”

Sid added: “I’m looking forward to working with the team to deliver on CrowdProperty’s ambitious plans, building on the incumbent people and systems for growth, and bringing my experience in delivering complex change initiatives to support the business as it scales.”
